Date Oct. 9, 1997A device for semi-automatically sewing darts on garments having a set formed by a flat lance, a plate-like rod and a translation plate driven by a feed mechanism of an automatic programmable sewing unit. Fabrics are folded upon the flat lance and held to the translation plate by the plate-like rod such that the fabrics do not touch the working surface of the sewing unit. First and second guide members move the flat lance and the plate-like rod in a coordinated manner to effect the dart sewing process.
