Abstract:

An albumin fusion protein comprising the DX-88 Kunitz domain peptide or a fragment or variant thereof, and albumin or a fragment or variant thereof. Suitably, the albumin fusion protein exhibits an extended in vivo half-life, greater in vivo and/or in vitro biological activity and/or greater solubility than the DX-88 Kunitz domain peptide, or fragment or variant thereof, in an unfused state. Use of the albumin fusion protein in medicine; nucleic acid molecules encoding the albumin fusion protein; methods of making the albumin fusion protein.
