Abstract:
The invention relates to pharmaceutical formulations of xanthogenates and agents containing these formulations for the treatment of viral, tumor or autoimmune diseases. The pharmaceutical formulations contain a xanthogenate of formula I wherein R1 represents an optionally substituted aryl or alkyl residue and R2 represents a metal atom, an optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy, amino or ammonium group or halogen, and an inhibitor of viral nucleic acid replication such as e.g. aciclovir, valaciclovir, penciclovir, famciclovir, and optionally a carrier substance reducing the irritating effect of the xanthogenate and optionally an adjuvant enhancing the activity.
