Abstract:
A piston pump (16), particularly a high-pressure fuel pump for an internal combustion engine, comprising a housing (28) and a piston (36) defining a working chamber (38) and comprising a shoulder (48) which is oriented away from the working chamber (38). According to the invention, the working-chamber side end of the piston (38) moves forwards into the housing (28) and a stop element (60) is fixed to the housing (28), said stop element comprising a stop (78) which at least partially cooperates with the shoulder (48).
