Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell high in efficiency and productivity, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A solar cell 100 includes: a semiconductor substrate 10; a control passivation film 20 which is formed on one surface of the semiconductor substrate 10, and which is formed of a dielectric material; and a semiconductor layer which is formed on the control passivation film 20, and which includes a first conductivity-type region 32 having a first conductivity type and a second conductivity-type region 34 having a second conductivity type opposite to the first conductivity type. The semiconductor substrate 10 includes a diffusion region including at least one of a first diffusion region 320 which is partially formed adjacent to the control passivation film 20 at a portion that corresponds to the first conductivity-type region 32 and which has a doping concentration lower than that of the first conductivity-type region 32, and a second diffusion region 340 which is partially formed adjacent to the control passivation film 20 at a portion that corresponds to the second conductivity-type region 34.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
