Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polyester that is an aliphatic/aromatic polyester obtained by using in combination an aliphatic diol component as a diol component such as PBAT and so on and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid component and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component as a dicarboxylic acid component, has a small content of THF and oligomer, and has excellent color tone.SOLUTION: A production method of a polyester, which includes: an esterification and/or ester exchange reaction step of reacting an aliphatic diol component, an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid component and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component; a pelletizing step of pelletizing a polyester obtained via the esterification and/or the ester exchange reaction step; and a contact treatment step of contacting a polyester pellet that is obtained by the pelletizing step and has a tetrahydrofuran content of 10 mass ppm or higher and a mixed liquid containing ethanol and water, in which the mixed liquid contains 10 mass% or larger and 99 mass% or smaller relative to an entirety of the mixed liquid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
