Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device capable of reliably ringing an external telephone set in response to arrival of an IR signal from a telephone line.SOLUTION: A communication terminal device includes: a CAR signal determination unit that determines whether a CAR signal has arrived on the basis of a type of electric signal input via a line; a FAX mode instruction unit that instructs a FAX to switch its operation mode; and a FAX mode operation unit that operates according to the switched operation mode of the FAX. When the CAR signal arrives, the FAX mode instruction unit switches the operation mode of the FAX so that the FAX shifts to a standby mode not to establish connection with the line at timing of arrival of an IR signal from the line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
