Abstract:
To provide a fixing device, an image forming apparatus, and a fixing operation control method that can easily and more appropriately fix color materials without increasing configurations related to temperature control.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a fixing operation part that has a heat source part including a first heat source part that generates heat within a predetermined range from both end positions of a fixing width, and a second heat source part that generates heat within a range partially overlapping at least part of the predetermined range, and fixes color materials through a heating operation; a temperature measuring part including a first temperature measuring part that measures temperature within the predetermined range, and a second temperature measuring part that measures temperature at a position toward the center between both end positions with respect to the first temperature measuring part; and a control part that controls the heat generated by the first heat source part on the basis of the temperature measured by the first temperature measuring part and a first heating set temperature, controls the heat generated by the second heat source part on the basis of the temperature measured by the second temperature measuring part and a second heating set temperature, and when decreasing a heating temperature, starts decreasing the second heating set temperature before starting decreasing the first heating set temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
