Abstract:
To provide a method for measuring the efficiency of saliva, the method allowing an appropriate measurement of the secretory ability of saliva and/or the mastication efficiency of saliva by removing a masticated sample or masticated saliva from the measurement target.SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: measuring the smell intensity of breathing after a sample is masticated; and calculating the secretory ability of saliva and/or the mastication efficiency of saliva based on the smell intensity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
