Abstract:
To determine a type of an object from a difference of a shape obtained using polarization information.SOLUTION: A polarization information acquisition unit 20 acquires a direction and a degree of polarization for each pixel from an image of an object in a space by an imaging unit 10. Normal line direction calculation means 44 calculates a temporary normal line direction of a surface of an object represented by a pixel based on the direction and the degree of polarization for each pixel. Detection target determination means 48 determines a type of the object based on a distribution of the temporary normal line direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
