Abstract:
To provide agents and methods for screening, diagnosis and surveillance of pancreatic cancer.SOLUTION: A method for determining whether a subject suffers from, or is at risk of onset of pancreatic cancer comprises determining the expression level of a first microRNA selected from a panel of up-regulated microRNA consisting of miR-18a, miR-22, miR-486, miR-642b, miR-7, and miR-885-5p; and determining the expression level of a second microRNA selected from the panel, in a sample from the subject, and it is determined to be positive when the first microRNA is miR-18a, the second microRNA is different from the first microRNA, the expression level of the first microRNA exceeds a predetermined reference value, and the expression level of the second microRNA exceeds the predetermined reference value.SELECTED DRAWING: None
