Abstract:
To provide an optical device capable of reliably generating a single photon having high unidentifiability using an optical coupling with an optical guide.SOLUTION: A photon generation device comprises on a substrate 10: a first optical guide 1 via a first dielectric layer 11; an optical microresonator 4 including light emitter 2 disposed on the first optical guide 1 being position-aligned with the first optical guide 1 via a second dielectric layer 12; a polarization control part 4 as a grating coupler which is position-aligned with the light emitter 2 via a third dielectric layer 14 above the light emitter 2; and a second optical guide for guiding excitation light to the polarization control part 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
