Abstract:
To provide a display device capable of compensating for variations in threshold voltage of a transistor and suppressing for variations in brightness, and a driving method using the same.SOLUTION: Current is supplied to a light-emitting element to cause the light-emitting element to emit light by holding an initial voltage in a holding capacitor in a first period, holding in the holding capacitor in a second period a voltage based on a video signal voltage and a threshold voltage of a transistor, and by applying to a gate electrode of the transistor in a third period the voltage held in the holding capacitor in the second period. This operation process can supply the light-emitting element with current obtained by compensating for the influence of variations in the threshold voltage of the transistor, thereby brightness variations being suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
