Abstract:
To provide a sand composition that eliminates the need for managing an acid catalyst and is hard to cause blocking, and to provide a method for producing a casting mold.SOLUTION: A sand composition is used which comprises: a fire-resistant granular material having an acid catalyst carried thereon; and a zeolite having a molar ratio in SiO/AlOof 5 or more. Preferably, two or more sand compositions are used in which at least one of the type of acid catalyst or the amount of acid catalyst carried is mutually different.SELECTED DRAWING: None
