Abstract:
To provide an underwater acoustic MIMO communication system using a parametric method that can improve the communication quality and reliability of acoustic communication in water (under water, etc.) by applying the parametric method and the MIMO communication technology in a compatible manner.SOLUTION: An underwater acoustic MIMO communication system 10 using a parametric method includes a plurality of parametric transmitters 12, a transmitting circuit 14 that transmits, as a primary wave, a signal of frequency fobtained by ASK modulating a baseband signal to be transmitted as a modulation wave and a signal of a frequency fas a carrier wave, multiple parametric receivers 16 that can receive a difference (f-f) and a chord (f+f) between the frequency of the transmitted primary wave and the frequency of the primary wave which is a coupled wave generated by the primary wave as a secondary wave, and a receiver circuit 18 that converts the received primary wave and/or the secondary wave into a baseband signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
