Abstract:
To quickly detect abnormality due to jet body such as high temperature gas jetted from a battery cell or flame at the time of firing.SOLUTION: A battery pack includes multiple battery cells 1 formed by closing the opening of an outer can 11 with a sealing board 12, a holder case 2 for holding the multiple battery cells 1 in a posture parallel with each other, a pair of bus bar plates 4 placed on the upper and lower surfaces of the holder case 2, a cover member 5 placed on the upper and lower outside of the holder case 2, and covering the bus bar plates 4, and a temperature detector 6 placed between the holder case 2 and the cover member 5. Between the cover member 5 and the holder case 2, an exhaust space 7 into which a jet body flows from the end face of the battery cell 1, when the battery cell 1 is abnormal, is formed. Surroundings of the exhaust space 7 is blocked, and an opening 35 for passing the ejecta is provided by interconnecting a partial region of the surroundings with the outside, and temperature detector 6 is placed closely to the opening 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
