Abstract:
To provide a coated arc welding rod that has both excellent mechanical characteristics and welding workability, and can also be provided at low cost.SOLUTION: A coated arc welding rod includes a core wire and a coating agent, with at least a part of the core wire coated with the coating agent. The coated arc welding rod contains C:0.01-0.13 mass%, Si:0.1-1.1 mass%, Mn:0.1-1.2 mass%, Ni:0.01-0.8 mass %, Mo:0.01-0.8 mass% and Cr:9.0-11.4 mass% relative to the welding rod total mass, and contains substantially no Nb, Ti and Al, where a relational expression of (Cr+Mo+1.5×Si)/(Ni+30×C+0.5×Mn)≤6.5 is satisfied by the contents of the respective components.SELECTED DRAWING: None
