Abstract:
To provide a lightweight and low-cost rail vehicle body structure that secures the strength with respect to traction force without increasing the mass and cost as much as possible.SOLUTION: In an underframe lower surface plate-lib connection part 54 positioned closest toward the outside of a middle beam 13, a horizontal reinforcement plate 80, which is connected to an end part of a cap beam end upper surface plate 64 and an end part of a middle beam upper surface plate 71 and has a length in the longitudinal direction is sufficiently small with respect to the middle beam 13, is bonded to a lower surface of an underframe lower surface plate 52 by a width-directional end part weld 82 of the horizontal reinforcement plate. Accordingly, the force of the traction force for vertically (101) separating or pushing a longitudinal-directional end part of a cap beam 14 can also be shared by the width-directional end part weld 82 of the horizontal reinforcement plate so that a strength load imposed on the longitudinal-directional end part of the cap beam 14 can be alleviated. Since the strength against the traction force can be ensured while suppressing the mass and cost as much as possible, a lightweight and low-cost rail vehicle body structure can be provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
