Abstract:
To improve a strength after crosslinking when formed into a rubber molded product in a rubber composition including a ricinoleic acid copolymer as a plasticizer.SOLUTION: The rubber composition includes 100 pts.mass of (X) a crosslinkable rubber, 1 to 50 pts.mass of (A) a copolymer of [α] ricinoleic acid and/or a derivative thereof, [β] a dicarboxylic acid and [γ] a diol and 0.01 to 10 pts.mass of (C) a crosslinking agent, in which the copolymer (A) satisfies at least requirements as given below: the requirement that the content of a structural unit derived from the ricinoleic acid and/or the derivative thereof [α] is 10 mol% to less than 100 mol% based on the total of the structural unit derived from the ricinoleic acid and/or the derivative thereof [α], a structural unit derived from the dicarboxylic acid [β] and a structural unit derived from the diol [γ]; the requirement that the weight average molecular weight Mw is 10,000 to 500,000; and the requirement that the ratio (Mw/Mn) of the weight average molecular weight Mw to the number average molecular weight Mn is 2 to 6.SELECTED DRAWING: None
