Abstract:
To provide an instrument capable of stably, easily, and certainly measuring the depth of a measuring object, especially the depth of a groove, recess, hole, defect, or the like of the measuring object having a columnar structure.SOLUTION: An instrument 1 includes: an instrument body 2 having a gauge body 20 and a probe 22 attached to the gauge body 20; and a measurement base 3 for supporting the instrument body 2. The bottom surface 3b side of the measurement base 3 includes: a first contact part 3g on which a measuring object having a long-sized columnar structure can abut along the longitudinal direction; and a second contact part 3h on which a measuring object having a short-sized columnar structure can abut along the width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
