To provide a wireless power transmission system capable of suppressing a rapid increase in a charging current of a battery and a power receiving device used therefor.SOLUTION: A wireless power transmission system includes a power transmission device and a power reception device. The power transmission device includes an inverter V1, a power transmission resonator having a power transmission coil L3 and a power transmission capacitor C2, and a T-type circuit connected between the inverter V1 and the power transmission coil L3. The power reception device includes a power reception resonator having a power reception coil L4 and a power reception capacitor C3 that receives AC power transmitted from the power transmission coil L3, an AC/DC converter that converts AC power received by the power reception coil L4 into DC power, and a battery V2 that stores the DC power converted by the AC/DC converter. The absolute value of the impedance of the power reception coil L4 at the frequency of the high frequency current is larger than the absolute value of the impedance of the power reception capacitor C3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
