To more improve linearity, in an imaging apparatus using a single-photon receiving element.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes an imaging element which is configured so as to include each of a sensor part which includes a plurality of pixels and in which each pixel outputs a signal pulse according to the reception of a single-photon and a counter which counts the signal pulse and outputs a count value and a control part which controls the pulse width of the signal pulse according to the photographing condition of the imaging apparatus or the state of the imaging apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
