To provide culture medium for culturing a hematopoietic stem cell in a resting period while maintaining an undifferentiated state, and a culture method using the medium .SOLUTION: A resting period state and an undifferentiated state of a hematopoietic stem cell can be maintained by culturing the cell in culture medium containing 1 to 10ng/mL of stem cell factor, 0.02 to 6ng/mL of thrombopoietin concentration, and 10 to 100 mg/mL of fatty acid carrying albumin.SELECTED DRAWING: None
