Abstract:
To provide a method and apparatus for renovation of an existing pipe by pulling a thermoplastic resin-made renovation pipe having temperature-sensitive shape recovery property into the existing pipe, wherein the pulling work has become easier.SOLUTION: Before pulling a renovation pipe 3 to an existing pipe 1, a renovation pipe tip 3e is heated locally. Desirability, a sheet-like heater 31 comprising a silicone rubber heater is wound on the renovation pipe tip 3e to control the renovation pipe tip 3e to have a preset temperature which is a temperature elevated than ordinary temperature and a temperature lower than its shape recovery temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
