Abstract:
To provide a receiving method which allows a receiving device to reproduce multiple second data units, stored in a first data unit, at an intended time, even when leap second adjustment is performed.SOLUTION: In a receiving method of receiving a first data unit storing data constituting an encoded stream, the first data unit stores multiple second data units. The receiving method transmits (i) first data unit, (ii) first time information, (iii) identification information indicating possibility that second data unit presented or decoded at a presentation time or a decoding time requiring correction, other than the second data unit at the beginning in presentation order, is included in the first data unit, and (iv) second time information that is relative time information for calculating the presentation time or the decoding time each of the multiple second data units, in conjunction with the first time information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 113
