Abstract:
To provide a method for protecting a multilayer capacitor from mechanical stress.SOLUTION: A capacitor 100 comprises: anodes 10a to 10c: cathodes 12a to 12c; capacitance-forming layers 14a to 14c arranged between the anode and the cathode; and an electro-mechanical connection part, The electro-mechanical connection part comprises holes 18a to 18b which extend into a body in a direction of a stack. The holes include electrical connectors 22a and 22b. The electrical connector is in electrical contact with either the anode or the cathode, comprises a compliant element, and is suitable for holding contact pins 24a and 24b. The compliant element decouples the body from mechanical force applied to the contact pin. The compliant element reduces mechanical stress experienced by the body of the capacitor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1a
