Abstract:
To provide an external sensor with which it is possible to both protect a detection face and guarantee accuracy of detecting the outside.SOLUTION: A rearward external sensor 17 according to the present invention comprises a sensor body 33 and a rearward external sensor garnish 37. In a state where the sensor body 33 and the rearward external sensor garnish 37 are attached to a rear part of a vehicle body, a detection face 31 included in the sensor body 33 is exposed outward of an own vehicle 11 through a rearward small window 38 included in the rearward external sensor garnish 37. The rearward external sensor garnish 37 is provided with a hood-shaped protrusion 53 located so as to protrude in a shape of a hood outward of the own vehicle 11 to an apex 31a of the detection face 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B
