Abstract:

To provide DNA damaging agent screening methods and DNA damaging agent screening kits that can easily select candidate compounds in a short time.SOLUTION: The screening method according to the present invention comprises: in a dispersion where nanoparticles are dispersed, which are formed to have a double-stranded DNA composed of a single-stranded DNA and a single-stranded DNA having the same base length as the single-stranded DNA and to have a surface from which a plurality of double-stranded DNAs extend, contacting the nanoparticles with a test substance; mixing the amount of the salt in which the nanoparticles aggregate in the absence of the test substance, with the dispersion containing the test substance; and evaluating the dispersion state of the nanoparticles in the dispersion mixed with the salt to selecting the test substance as a DNA damaging agent when the aggregation of the nanoparticles is suppressed as compared with the case where the test substance is not contacted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
