Abstract:
To selectively display, by switching, an image for binocular vision and an image for plane view.SOLUTION: A display device for vehicles comprises a lens array consisting of a plurality of focal distance variable lenses arrayed, an image display, and a control unit for controlling the focal distance and the image display, the control unit selectively outputting, by switching, an image for binocular vision and an image for plane view from the image display. The control unit, for example, selectively forms a first state in which the image outputted from the image display appears to be planar via the lens array and a second state in which the image outputted from the image display appears to be stereoscopic via the lens array. Furthermore, an image part for the left eye and an image part for the right eye, for example, form prescribed vehicle information and a background around the prescribed vehicle information, the prescribed vehicle information being formed with pixels having higher luminance than the background.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
