Abstract:
To adjust a spring load in a wide range while securing sealability between a sleeve and an adjust screw.SOLUTION: A spring load adjusting method includes: a step of preparing a spring load adjusting device 10 including a female screw member 20 having a caulking piece formation part 30 at one end of a pressing direction AD, and an adjust screw 40, and plural caulking punches 220 having areas of contact parts 224 different from each other for forming a caulking piece 60 by plastically deforming the caulking piece formation part; a step of adjusting a spring load; a step of selecting the caulking punches having a contact part with a larger area when a distance D1 in the pressing direction between an end face 35 of the caulking piece formation part in the pressing direction and an end face 70 of the adjust screw is small than when the distance in the pressing direction is large; and a step of pressurizing the adjust screw toward a spring side in the pressing direction by applying a predefined load to the selected caulking punches and forming the caulking piece.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
