Abstract:
To provide a magnetic resonance imaging device capable of appropriately correcting image distortion caused by non-linearity of a gradient magnetic field generated by a gradient magnetic field coil.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging device includes an imaging unit 600, a reconstruction unit, and a correction unit. The imaging unit includes at least a high frequency coil and a gradient magnetic field coil, and collects a magnetic resonance signal emitted from a subject in response to the application of a high frequency pulse output from the high frequency coil and a gradient magnetic field formed by the gradient magnetic field coil. The reconstruction unit reconstructs the collected magnetic resonance signal and generates a diagnostic image of the subject. The correction unit generates distortion correction data for correcting nonlinear characteristics of the gradient magnetic field to linear characteristics stipulated by the strength of the gradient magnetic field at a position away from a magnetic field center of the gradient magnetic field coil and a distance from the magnetic field center to the position, and corrects a reconstructed diagnostic image by using the distortion correction data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
