Abstract:
To provide a steering device that enables relative rotation between a rolling body screw part and a rolling body nut to be performed smoothly even if a gap between the aligned rolling bodies is narrowed so that the adjacent rolling bodies contact each other, in a ball screw mechanism, and has durability.SOLUTION: A steering device S1 comprises a turning shaft 21, a ball screw mechanism 33, a motor M and a belt transmission mechanism 35. In the ball screw mechanism 33, a plurality of balls 38 comprise a large-diameter rolling body 38a and a small-diameter rolling body 38b, and intervals β in a radial direction of a spiral locus 39 differ in a circumferential direction depending on directions of tension of a belt 35a with teeth, and transmission of power P between a first screw groove 21b1 and a second screw groove 33a1 is performed only by the large-diameter rolling body 38a in the spiral locus 39 or by both of the large-diameter rolling body 38a and the small-diameter rolling body 38b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
