Abstract:
To provide a transmission belt core wire that has an excellent adhesiveness to matrix rubber, fray resistance, and bending fatigue resistance, despite the use of an adhesive treatment agent containing an aqueous solvent that has a low environmental load.SOLUTION: The transmission belt core wire is obtained by treating an untreated yarn (such as twisted yarn cord) with a first aqueous treatment agent (aqueous treatment liquid in the form of an aqueous solution or an aqueous dispersion) containing an epoxy resin (A), a polycarbonate polyol (B), and a blocked polyisocyanate (C), and, if necessary, further treating with a second aqueous treatment agent (containing resorcin, formaldehyde and latex).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
