Abstract:
To enable bending of a relay optical component in size reduction of a unit that a user wears on his/her head.SOLUTION: A relay optical component includes a first optical component that receives light and emits the light, a second optical component that receives the light emitted from the first optical component and emits the light, a first half-mirror that, when a second optical axis of the second optical component is inclined at a first angle relative to a first optical axis of the first optical component, is inclined at a second angle that is substantially the same as the first angle relative to a plane orthogonal to the first optical axis, a second half-mirror that reflects the light that is emitted from the first optical component and transmits the first half-mirror toward the first half-mirror, transmits the light reflected on the first half-mirror, and makes the light enter the second optical component, and a gear mechanism that, when the second optical axis of the second optical component is inclined at the first angle relative to the first optical axis of the first optical component, inclines the second half-mirror at a third angle that is approximately a half of the first angle relative to the plane orthogonal to the first optical axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
