Abstract:
To provide a treadmill for small animals of a simple structure which can impart a stimulation for encouraging walking at a higher speed to small animals gently and safely.SOLUTION: A treadmill 16 which has a travel road 16d of a conveyor type for making a small animal S walk in a forward direction by moving the travel road 16d in a backward direction is equipped. An enclosure wall 20 which encloses peripheries of the treadmill 16 to prevent the small animal S from getting off the travel road 16d is equipped. The enclosure wall 20 has a rear wall plate 22. The rear wall plate 22 is arranged by being raised upward on the travel road 16d with an upper end part 22a fixed to an attachment part 24a and a lower side part 22b displaceable in the backward direction. When the small animal S on the travel road 16d is brought into contact with the lower side part 22b and does not travel in the forward direction, the lower side part 22b is pushed by the small animal S and is opened, and the small animal S is discharged from a rear end part of the travel road 16d.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
