Abstract:
To provide a circularly polarizing plate capable of producing an image display device which can prevent a situation where light of different colors is visible depending on the area even when viewed while the image display device is being folded.SOLUTION: A circularly polarizing plate 10 that can be used while being folded is provided, the circularly polarizing plate 10 comprising an anti-reflection layer 19, a linear polarizing plate 13, and λ/4 retardation plate 11 arranged in the described order. The λ/4 retardation plate 11 has Re(550) at wavelength of 550 nm, representing an in-plane retardation at a wavelength of 550 nm, that satisfies the following expressions (1a), (2a): 141nm≤Re(550)≤180nm ...(1a), 95nm≤Re(550)≤134nm ...(2a).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
