Abstract:
To provide a high-activity catalyst for producing allyl acetate.SOLUTION: A catalyst for producing allyl acetate contains (a) Pd, (b) Au, (c) a group IV metal compound having at least one kind of element selected from the group consisting of Cu, Ni, Zn, and Co, (d) an alkali metal salt compound, and (e) a carrier. A production method of the catalyst includes steps 1-4 in that order. Step 1: a step of preparing a homogeneous solution of Pd, Au, and (f) a chloride of a monovalent cation of a molar quantity of 1.0-17.0 per one mole of Pd atom and bringing the solution into contact with the (e) carrier to make the carrier support PD and Au. Step 2: a step of bringing the carrier obtained in Step 1 into contact with (g) an alkaline liquid to impregnate the carrier with the alkaline liquid. Step 3: a step of reducing the carrier obtained in Step 2. Step 4: a step of making the carrier obtained in Step 3 support (c) the group IV metal compound having at least one kind of element selected from the group consisting of Cu, Ni, Zn, and Co, and (d) the alkali metal salt compound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
