To provide a construction machine capable of omitting fitting work of an article number and a product number, a company name and design such as a logo mark and securing visibility of the article number and product number, the company name, and the design such as the logo mark over a long term.SOLUTION: An upper part of an undercarriage 13 is rotatably provided with a superstructure provided with an engine compartment 16, and the engine compartment 16 is provided with a first intake port 16c and a second intake port 16e. Openings of the first intake port 16c and the second intake port 16e are covered with outer plates 16f, 16g respectively, and the outer plates 16f, 16g are provided with character parts 17, 20 or a design part 18 formed by a plurality of open holes 17a, 18a, 20a. The first intake port 16c is provided with a duct 16h in the housing and the second intake port is provided with a duct 16i in the housing. Character parts 17, 20 of the ducts 16h, 16i or surfaces facing the design part 18 are colored differently from a housing 16a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
