Abstract:
To provide a camera and method improved in height measurement in an object stream.SOLUTION: A camera (10) comprises: an image sensor (20) having a plurality of pixel elements for acquiring image data of an object stream moved in a direction of movement (16) relative to the camera (10) with objects (14) of a height; and a control and evaluation unit (22) that is configured to measure the height of each object (14) on the basis of the image data. The image sensor (20) is an event-based image sensor, and the control and evaluation unit (22) is configured to capture a measurement series of points in time at which pixel elements adjacent in the direction of movement record an event one after another to measure a speed of an object image of the object (14) on the image sensor (20) from the measurement series and measure the height from the speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
