Abstract:
To establish a simple method for obtaining skeletal muscle cells from skin.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for preparing skeletal muscle stem cells, myoblasts and/or skeletal muscle cells from mammalian skin, the method involving cutting skin obtained from a mammal into sections of 0.01 to 100 mm2, and culturing the sections for 5 to 35 days without carrying out an enzymatic decomposition treatment. The present invention further provides a skeletal muscle cell model containing skeletal muscle cells prepared according to the method of the present invention.SELECTED DRAWING: None
