Abstract:
To provide a container-packed black tea beverage which suppresses stuffy smell due to a heat sterilization treatment etc., a manufacturing method thereof and a method for suppressing stuffy smell of a container-packed black tea beverage.SOLUTION: A container-packed black tea beverage containing 100 to 1000 ppm tea polyphenol contains one or more kinds of substances selected from (E)-2-heptanal, (E,E)-2,4-heptadienal and octanol in such a concentration that satisfies at least one of following (i) to (iii): (i) 5 to 450 ppb (E)-2-heptanal, 75 ppb or less (E,E)-2,4-heptadienal, and 750 ppb or less octanol; (ii) 450 ppb or less (E)-2-heptanal, 5 to 75 ppb (E,E)-2,4-heptadienal, and 750 ppb or less octanol; and (iii) 450 ppb or less (E)-2-heptanal, 75 ppb or less (E,E)-2,4-heptadienal, and 50 to 750 ppb octanol.SELECTED DRAWING: None
