Abstract:
To provide a vice which can automatically change a clamp center under the state that the vice itself is installed in a fixed position.SOLUTION: In a centering vice which clamps a work-piece 60 and in which first and second movable jaws 16, 18 are held in a fixed position, movement allowable means, which allows that under the unclamped state of the work-piece 60, the first and second movable jaws 16, 18 integrally move in an axial direction of a spindle 14 with respect to a vice body 12 together with the spindle 14 and right and left female screw members 24, 26, is provided. This vice clamps the work-piece 60 by the first and second movable jaws 16, 18 and fixes the same while changing a centering position of the work-piece 60 clamped by the first and second movable jaws 16, 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
