Abstract:

To provide a black ceramic and a production method therefor.SOLUTION: A production method includes a baking step in which a molded article formed by molding clay is baked to form a ceramic. The baking step is a process of baking the molded article at a temperature of 1,125°C or higher under the condition that carbon is present around the molded article. Preferably, in the baking step, (1) the molded article is arranged in carbon-based particles containing carbon powders, (2) the molded article is arranged in a container composed of a carbon material, or (3) the molded article is arranged in a container in which carbon-based particles containing carbon powders are arranged so that the molded article does not come into contact with the carbon-based particles, and the molded article is baked.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
