Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve security by forming plural kinds of identification codes in one IC card in accordance with the kinds of service and processing and changing an identification code forming means in each center. CONSTITUTION:When an IC card 10 is set up in a terminal equipment 12 and personal identification information (PIN) is inputted from the terminal equipment 12, a PIN collating part 24 checks whether the PIN is registered in a PIN registering area 21 or not. When the PIN has been registered, the collated result is informed, and as the result, an enciphering random number E is re ceived. A secret code selecting part 25 reads out a corresponding secret code from a secret code registering area 22 in accordance with the specified kind of service/processing and informs the read secret code to an identification code forming part 26. An identification code forming part 26 forms an identification code ACi on the basis of a prescribed function from transaction data such as the secret code, the random number, and an account number. The identifica tion code is similarly formed by any one of centers, e.g. 13a, and checked.
