Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a radiant ray from being leaked and diffused by performing a water-drainage test without opening a building and to enhance the safety by providing a test water-drainage port piping connected to a fire extinguishing water piping in the vicinity of an indoor fire hydrant and provided with a stop valve and a draining means, and a test water-drainage port which passes through the building in the end part of this piping and installed outdoors. CONSTITUTION:At the time of a periodical water-drainage test fixed by law of a fire hydrant 6 installed in a nuclear reactor building 5, a door 32a of a store box 32 of a test water-drainage port 12 installed in the vicinity of the fire hydrant concerned 6 in the open air and outside of the nuclear reactor building 5 is opened, and a hose 26 is connected to the test water-drainage port 12. Subsequently, a drain stop valve 13 in the nuclear reactor building 5 is closed, and when a test water-drainage port stop valve 28 is opened after opening a stop valve 30 of a test water-drainage port piping 31, a fire extinguishing pump 3 is actuated automatically in the same way as the time of using fire hydrant 6 and fire extinguishing water is pressurized and supplied, and from the hose 26 of the test water-drainage port 12, fire extinguishing water is drained off and the test can be performed.
