Abstract:
PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the development of harmful oxide scale on surface of material to be heated in a non-oxidizing atmospheric furnace by constituting so as to heat the heating material moving in an inner part of furnace core tube by heater and inject N2 gas or N2 gas and reducing gas in the inner part of furnace core tube from passing hole at the intermediate part. CONSTITUTION:While moving the material 20 to be heated on the skid rail 22 from an inlet A side to an outlet B side in the heating furnace 1, the material 20 is induction-heated by the heater 7 arranged at outer circumference of the furnace core tube 5. During this operation the N2 gas or mixed N2 gas and reducing gas is injected from supplying piping 16 through the passing hole 3 passed through to inner part and outer part and arranged at the intermediate part of this tube 5 in the inner part of furnace core tube 5. In this way, the protecting atmosphere, such as N2 gas, can be formed mixed with O2 in the furnace core tube 5. Therefore, the development of harmful oxide scale on the surface of material 20 is effectively prevented without remarkably raising the equipped cost of the furnace 1.
