Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an endoscope which can obtain visible information by selecting an optimal wavelength area in accordance with a body to be observed, and can detect easily the color tone difference of each part of the body whose identification is difficult in the image of a general visible area. CONSTITUTION:Light from a light source 24 for light-emitting wavelength of a wide area extending from an ultraviolet area to an infrared area containing a visible area is radiated to the body through a color filter 50, by which the image of the body formed in a solid-state image pickup element 36 is subjected to photoelectric conversion, and a signal corresponding to each picture element of this solid-state image pickup element 36 is read out in a time series by synchronizing with the switching of an illuminating light by a control part 25. The output signal of this solid-state image pickup element 36 is inputted to a video signal processing part 41 consisting of a process circuit 38, a matrix circuit 39 and an encoder 40 controlled by the control part 25, respectively.
