Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide an incomplete combustion detecting device, capable of extending a service like of a CO sensor and determining imcomplete combustion correctly. CONSTITUTION:A combustion instrument A is provided with a CO sensor 20 at the exhaust side thereof and an incomplete combustion determining means 24, for an incomplete combustion of the combustion instrument A by the output of the CO sensor 20. The combustion instrument A is also provided with a combustion control means 22, controlling the burning condition of the combustion instrument A based on the decision of the incomplete combustion deciding means 24. Further, the combustion instrument A is provided with a CO sensor control means 23, starting the excitation of the CO sensor 20 after starting the operation of the combustion instrument A and stopping the excitation of the CO sensor 20 before finishing the operation of the same instrument A. The incomplete combustion deciding means 24 starts the decision of incomplete combustion when a predetermined period of time has been elapsed after starting the excitation of the CO sensor 20.
