Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent peeling by chlorine water by forming a multilayer pipe for hot water piping with an inner layer made from a crosslinked thermoplastic resin, and an outer layer formed outside and integrally with the inner layer and made from a crosslinked or non-crosslinked thermoplastic resin having carbon black mixed therein. CONSTITUTION:A multilayer pipe 1 is molded by extrusion molding in such a manner as laminating a crosslinked type polyethylene not yet crosslinked and not having carbon black mixed therein, and a crosslinked type polyethylene not yet crosslinked and having carbon black by eg. 1 to 5wt.% mixed therein, into an inner layer 2 and an outer layer 3 respectively, and the molding is then crosslinked so that the pipe 1 is manufactured. As a result, it is excellent in chlorine water resistance and weather resistance. It is also excellent in long- term strength such as creep property, heat insulating strength and the like so it can be used in high temperature water.
