Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the reliability at the time of displaying a moving picture on a display device. CONSTITUTION:Moving picture data having the same contents are recorded at plural recording positions 2 and 3 on a moving picture recording body 1. Further, still picture data are recorded on another recording medium 10. The moving picture data, for example, at the recording position 2 on the moving picture recording medium l are normally read out and displayed on the display device 16. The reading and display of the moving picture data at the recording position 2 are repeated each time a request to display the moving picture data is made. If the data at the recording position 2 are abnormally read, the moving picture data at the other recording position 3 are read out. The moving picture data at the other recording position 3 are read out thereafter at each request to display the moving picture data. If the data at all the recording positions 2 and 3 are abnormally read, the still picture data on the other recording medium 10 are displayed on the display device 16.
